Reunited for the weekend

Monday is here yet again and that means the weekend is over - obvi. Unfortunately that means the end of a great weekend with friends and heading back to life in the real world.

Even though a lot happened this weekend it didn't feel like it really. I took off from work early on Friday and headed home to do a bit of last minute sprucing up around the house before my friends got to town. We talked, caught up and ate, and once the last of us showed up we headed out for some dancing in town. I love that you can go so long without seeing someone and then once you are reunited it is like you were never apart.

Saturday started late with breakfast and some sun-bathing, and then after dealing with my brother's car drama we headed to the winery. This is the same winery I had previously talked about in a weekend wrap-up post, but none of these girls had been so it was new and fun for everyone.

After a tasting we all got a bottle and sat down to just talk some more. Eventually we took pictures - it is inevitable - and then headed home.

After lunch on Sunday everyone took off and Remi just sat there staring at the door. He was so used to people coming in and out this weekend that I don't think he knew what was going on when they all left. Needless-to-say, I got a lot of cuddle time with my puppy throughout the day - while soaking up the last of the summer sun while I can.

And that is the weekend everyone. Now it is back to the real world to count down until Friday. Hey, it is a three-day weekend next weekend so there is that!
