You are too young.

As Nate and I approach our one year anniversary (just a little over two months from now), I wanted to take some time to get something off my mind.

I feel like lately I have been hearing a lot about how I shouldn't start a family yet. Often times the subject gets brought up and the first comment is:

"How old are  you? Oh you are too young for that!"

Says who!? Yes I am 23 and have only been out of college for a year and a half, but isn't it my decision - with Nate - to make about when I have a child? I understand that some people may feel like they had their kids too young and didn't get to experience life like some of their peers did, but just because you feel like that doesn't mean that I will.

Personally I believe that there is no perfect age to have a child - it is a personal decision once again. When Nate and I feel that we have our life in order enough to financially support a child and devote our time to starting a family then we will. Maybe that will be in  two months or maybe two years, who knows.

Until then don't make me feel like a child. I am a home-owner, full-time employee, wife, and puppy mom. Nate and I take time to make sure our finances are in order and we focus on us as a couple. We spend time with our friends and family and just enjoy us as the moment. I would be lying if I said I hadn't thought about getting pregnant, but with Nate in grad school, the timing just isn't right.

I will have a child one day, probably before some people feel like I am "old enough", but to them I say poo poo (Madaline reference). Let us figure it out for ourselves, it is our choice anyway. For now, my secret "Future Baby 'B'" board on Pinterest will be enough for me.

Sorry for the rant, just needed to clear my head. It is Thursday though so here are some pictures of our wedding for a throwback to not long ago.

Thanks for reading! I hope you are all having a fantastic week.
