In the spirit of the Olympics, I decided to do a mini photoshoot with Leighton. What is cuter than a toddler in a crew neck? NOTHING! Plus a little patriotic spirit never hurt anyone.

Growing up, we always had the Old Navy American flag shirts. Looking back on it, it was kind of odd seeing as how both of my parent grew up Mennonite, my younger days were spent in a Mennonite church and the majority of my extended family still goes to a Mennonite church. All that being said, Mom still got us those shirts almost every year for a picture.
Update: Mom said apparently we just got them the one year but they lasted forever being passed from one kid to the next. It wasn't a tradition. Whoops! Isn't it funny how you remember things totally different than they really were sometimes?
I'm not sure I am going to make that a tradition for my boys, but this little crew neck was too perfect to pass up. It will be great this summer for the cooler nights too!
