So last year I entered a contest to be on the cover of Wedding Day Magazine - Central Indiana. Long story short, I ended up winning and it was one of the most fun-filled days ever.
Be prepared, the rest of this post is going to be picture heavy.
Leading up to the shoot, I had to go for a dress fitting in Indy - which was fun - and my mom got to accompany me to that. Then the day before they booked a hotel room at West Baden Resort in French Lick, IN for me and my cousin got to join me. This hotel was gorgeous by the way. I mean I had been to French Lick before. We used to go in the summers with my grandma and rent a condo, and I had walked around West Baden before, but never stayed inside. So we walked into the room and my cousin and I were super impressed - way nicer than we are used to...

So the next morning the madness began with hair and makeup and then the pictures began. The entire day I ran on half a Subway sandwich and a cookie so by the end of it I was starving and hungry. I wanted nothing but a cupcake and there was nowhere in the area to get one, so they ordered cake for me - so happy! Then my mom and I headed to a local wind place for some dinner - me in full hair and makeup - and I headed back to Fort Wayne. That night Nate had to help me get my hair undone and 83 bobby pins later I finally got to sleep.

This was such a fun experience that I will never forget. It was even better since it was nothing like my actual wedding so it was truly a day of dress up and fun! I am so thankful that Wedding Day choose me to be a part of this issue and that I got to have this wonderful experience. I love getting dressed up and taking pictures - always have. Right Mom?
