Oh hi there. Sorry for the sudden disappearance, but sometimes you just need to give yourself a break and do absolutely nothing. That is exactly what I did. This weekend was exactly what I needed to rejuvenate myself and clear my head from all of the stress I let in lately. It is really therapeutic to just sit back, relax, and let everything go. No plans. No schedule. Just relax.
Granted this did nothing for my list of things to get done, and my house did not gain anything from the laziness, but my body did and I am ready to go and kick this week's butt.
So, what did I do this weekend? Well, it was filled with movies, wine and lots of unhealthy foods.
Friday night was spent watching movies with the hubs. We haven't had a lot of time to just relax together lately so this was my perfect Friday night. The movies for the night consisted of Divergent and Draft Day. I was really looking forward to Divergent, since I had read the book, and I was very happy about how it turned out. The acting was good and the story line followed the book for the most part. We also watched Draft Day, which ended up exceeding expectations. I mean how good could a movie be about the Browns right? Well it ended up being really good and we caught ourselves rooting for the guys in the draft by the end of it. So if you need a couple of movie suggestions, I would say either of these! Movie night was also supplemented by a DQ run for Blizzards just because we could.
Saturday started off early with my church class at 8 a.m., but I am one class closer to being a member of the Lutheran Church! It is taking a while, but I am getting there. Then later in the afternoon we headed to a friend's parents' house for a goodbye party. After about an hour there we went home because Nate had to work. An hour's nap later, and I was out the door to watch the soccer team play but there were a few too many mosquitoes for my liking so I didn't stay long. After the game it was back to the goodbye party to hang out with friends. That meant cookies, Skittles and beer all while playing an interesting game of Shoulders.
Sunday was spent with Nate's parents and grandma eating lunch and watching our Colts play pretty decently. Then it was time for more nothing and cuddles with my puppy at home before more TV show premieres that night - Once Upon a Time, Resurrection and Revenge!
That was it for me! I loved doing so little, even though it made me feel very lazy. I am refreshed and ready to go again though which is exactly what I needed.
I slacked and didn't get a Friday Favorites post done last week, but this was going to be my big item on that list - Milani's Caberet Blend lipstick. I love it! It is my new favorite and it is drugstore so you can't beat the price.
Here is what is going down in the Blair household this week. Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead of you! Do something that makes you feel good about yourself this week - I am really going to focus in on my workouts.
