Aztec City Eyes

I am back with another Paula Dorf product and, for real I am loving it. The Paula Dorf team sent me this eyeshadow palette and I got so excited about it! I had been looking for a really good neutral brown for a transition shade, this palette brought me that plus some.

This is how the Paula Dorf website describes the Aztec City Eyeshadow Palette:

About the Product From the desert sand to the crisp blue sky this Aztec City Palette has it all! With just the right balance of professional and flirty, this palette lets you decide between knockout nudes, classy colors, or a mesmerizing mix of both. These five shades allow you to customize your look and transform your mindset to the bronzed beauty of the desert. The sleek mirrored case also contains a specially designed double-ended brush for the perfect application.

This is how my eyes turned out in the end. I loved it and felt it was perfect for our fun date to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra that night! (I also wore this look for our Friendsgiving party!)

Just like my review on the Brow Duo, I loved the packaging of this palette. Simple and really focused on letting the shadows take priority.

This palette also came with a dual-ended brush, which I think is perfect for travelling.

The palette has five shades, three shimmer and two matte. I used the two brown shades (4 & 5) to start my look. The tan (4) I used as a base all over my lid and brought it up through my crease to help transition the colors. Then, I went in with the dark brown (5) with a definer brush and created a bit of a wing, and really defined my crease. Next, I used a setting spray to get an intense color payoff from the blue (2) and help the gold pull through. I laid that color over the middle-outside corner of my lid. Finally I topped it off and blended it together with the lightest shade (1) and finished off my makeup look. Out we went to a great show!

And that is that! A fun look with a five shadow palette. The shadow held its place well while I wore it and I felt it had pretty good color payoff. I had a little bit of fallout from the blue shade, but I do my eyes first when doing a full face of makeup so that wasn't an issue for me.
