Pampering my skin

It is no secret that I am a fan of face masks or that I am a big supporter of really taking care of your skin. It is also not a secret that my skin has been giving me fits lately. That being said I wanted to show my bare skin and share my current skin routine for when I really want to pamper my skin. I try and do a mask at least once a week and follow that up with a treatment serum and serious hydration. Let's get on with it shall we?

Disclaimer. Some items were received c/o BrandBacker, InstaNatural and Valentia. While I was given these products for testing purposes, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. This post contains affiliate links.

To start off my routine, I remove my makeup with a cleansing oil. I know these typically say for dry skin and not for oily, but I have found that the more moisturized my face is, the better it is lately. I also have not had an issue with this product breaking me out and it really does a great job of getting all the makeup off.

Once I get the oil/makeup off my face, I move on to really cleaning and exfoliating with my new Clarisonic Mia 2 (thanks for the early birthday present Mom and Dad.) I have been using this consistantly for about a week now, and although that isn't enough time to give a real review I have noticed a difference in my skin. That is always a plus.

After cleansing/exfoliating comes the mask. My newest mask that has entered the rotation is the Dead Sea Mud Mask (c/o) by InstaNatural. Here is the product description:

InstaNatural’s Dead Sea Mud Mask is an all-natural detoxifier and purifier that comes from the renowned and sacred Dead Sea. More than a million visitors each year flock to this extraordinary body of water in the Mediterranean, which contains many minerals beneficial to the skin, such as magnesium, sodium, bromine, potassium and calcium.

Once applied, this mud mask treatment starts working to absorb excess oil, dirt and toxins from the skin. It is great to expunge acne, pimples and blackheads. It also helps to restore an even skin tone for a smoother complexion. When used as a body treatment, the mud mask can soothe and relieve muscles aches and pains.

Whether used on the face or the body, our Dead Sea Mud Mask is a superb in-home spa treatment that will reveal more vibrant, refined, healthier skin.

Honestly, I really, really like this one. My skin feels great after using it and it is easy to work with. I am always game for trying new things that say they will help my complexion and this is one I will continue to use until it is gone. My only complaint is how itchy my face got as it was drying, but that is how all masks that dry quickly are for me.

After all of that, I have been topping off my skin with Even Glow Serum - vitamin c serum for face(c/o) by Valentia to give my skin an extra boost and a bit more love. This product is a winner. It smells slightly citrusy (20% Vitamin C) and includes ingredients such as: Organic Rosehip Oil, Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil, Green Tea Extract, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, and Resistem (Plant Stem Cells). All the ingredients have anti-aging properties and help to enhance Vitamin C efficiacy on your face and skin. The product itself is supposed to even skin tone, increase glow and radiance, provide all day hydration, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, and boost collagen production. All good things if you ask me. Go ahead and check it out on Amazon if you are interested in learning more.

Like I have said before, you only have one set of skin. You have to take care of it. That is my routine about once or twice a week. If I do a mask twice, I switch it out so I am not using the same one over and over.

Here are some masks I want to try out:
