Welcoming 2016

Yeah, yeah I know we are two weeks into the new year already, but I still want to start the year with this post. Just bear with me for a second.

Before we can move forward into a new year, I think it is only right to look back on the previous 365 days. If you make it through the 24 pictures of flashbacks then you will see my plan for the next year. I am not making a resolution, I am setting a theme/word to live by. First, here is a look back at 2015.

[January]

We rung in the new year and we took on Chicago for a bachelorette party.

[February]

I cheered on the Komets as a Komette and celebrated Valentine's Day with the girls by having dinner and a movie.

[March]

We went out with our Fort Wayne friends and sold our house.

[April]

We bought a new house and found out we were pregnant (hence the Sprite).

[May]

We went to the "derby" and took on Indy for a second bachelorette party.

[June]

We made the announcement that we were expecting and went to the first of many weddings.

[July]

I watched two of my best friends walk down the isle and proudly stood by their sides as they married their soul mates.

[August]

We found out we were having a little mister and headed out to California on a "babymoon" of sorts.

[September]

I rode tripped with my mom and enjoyed a few relaxing days in Vermont.

[October]

We finally were able to make it to all of Homecoming together and we made our own last minute Halloween costumes.

[November]

We took maternity/family pictures before we added one more human into the mix.

[December]

We welcomed Leighton Wayne into the world and celebrated our first Christmas as a family of 3 (plus a pup).

[2016]

So welcome 2016, you have a lot to live up to. 2015 was full of blessings and new challenges. My plan is to tackle the year with the mantra "Live with intention." I want to focus on every aspect of my life (wife, mom, friend, daughter, sister, co-worker, female) and stop just being that role. Instead of just going through the steps, I want to tackle my life and be an active participant in it. Live with intention. Appreciate the people in my life. Ignite a fire for things I am passionate about. Live every day like it is my last.

Live with intention.
