Goals for May

Happy May everyone! I meant for this to go up on May 1, but then life happened and I got super busy. Every now and then I set goals for myself and I feel like when I do that and document them I get better results and I meet them faster. Goals give you something to strive for and make gains measurable. I love goals, that is just the kind of person I am. That being said, here are my goals for this May:

Blog

Post regularly - I want to be consistent and keep this blog up-to-date. By making a post schedule and working ahead I should be able to do this, but like my timing on this post, life sometimes gets in the way.

Pretty it up - I am a perfectionist and the fact that I don't have all the little details figured out and perfected on this blog is driving me crazy. By June, I WILL have everything in order and it will be a cohesive suite of online heaven.

Home

Tidy throughout the week - This weekend Nate and I looked at our room and made a decision. We will keep our clothes off the ground. I have always struggled with putting my clothes away as soon as I either take them off or fold them after washing and lately Nate has been struggling with me. This is a goal for both of us and we will be carrying the idea throughout the rest of the house too.

Landscape - We bought our cute little starter home last June and finally have the grass looking decent so now it is on to the rest of the yard. This month we are working on our font yard and aiming to have the best looking yard in the edition by the end of the summer/fall. I am all too excited to pick out flowers and such and I even have a few DIY projects in mind to add some pizzazz.

Relationships

Make him feel special -  Throughout college I was always doing little things for Nate. Whether it was just a little note/text or a present for no reason at all, I always wanted him to know how much I loved him and how special he was to me. With new jobs and a new grown up, adult life I feel like I haven't been doing that as much, this is going to change.

Make time for my friends - When I moved here to be with Nate and for my job I left behind a lot of friends and family. All of my college friends are about two hours away, some further, and my family is four. I don't want to be that person that moves and never talks to the people she used to hang out with, and I still love them all dearly so I am going to show them all that. Between phone calls, texts and cards I can keep constant contact and I am going to make trips to see them happen as much as possible.

Self

Become a morning person - I hate mornings. Seriously, I loathe hearing the alarm clock going off. I always go to bed thinking about how I am going to wake up early and take my time getting ready before going to work. Heck, maybe even enjoy a cup of coffee and breakfast before heading out the door. This never happens and I always get so mad at myself, but I never change it. Now I am changing it. I am gathering my myself and making myself become a morning person. (Stay tuned on that...)

Reach/maintain my goal body - My body isn't bad, I know I am healthy and many people think I am super skinny, but like anyone else I am self conscious and I see little things that I want to change. I am  not at a point where I need to loose a crazy amount of weight. Honestly if I reach my goal body I will probably gain weight, but it is going to happen. This is going to be a goal that takes longer than a month to reach and it is going to be a even longer term goal since I want to stay that way, but May is my official kick-off to getting the body I want. To prove it and show how dedicated I am to this and breaking down my self esteem barrier, here are my starting pictures.

What are your goals for May?
