July's Beauty Haul |
Hair:
L'Oreal Boost It High Lift Creation Spray
I love this and have used it almost every day since I bought it. Normally I hate spraying hairspray directly where I am teasing because it just ends up looking really weird, but this stuff is so light on my hair but has definite hold and helps give my locks the boost I am not blessed with naturally. Thank you to Alexandrea Garza and Stephanie Willis for showing me this amaze-balls product.L'Oreal Txt It Tousle Waves Spray
Like the Boost It Spray, the TXT It Spray helps add to my naturally lifeless locks by adding texture to my curls. I am able to achieve the super messy, undone curls that I strive for a lot easier with this magic in a bottle. Again, much thanks to Alexandrea Garza and Stephanie Willis for drawing my attention to this line. If you don't follow their YouTube channels already, do so - like now. You will thank me later.TRESemme TRES Two Spray
When it comes to hairspray I like something that holds without making my hair crunchy and this does this that. A simple win in my boook!Skin:
Jergens Natural Glow Face w/ Sunscreen
I have only used this product a couple of times since buying it so the jury is still out.
L'Oreal Youthcode Pore Vanisher
My face is naturally oily in my t-zone and I am always looking for something to help with that situation. I saw this in a video on YouTube by Nicole Guerriero (another great beauty vlogger to follow) and figured I would give it a try. Let me just tell you I don't wear makeup without it anymore. My face still gets a little oily, but not nearly as bad as it used to and my pores definitely look smaller since I started using it (I have been for about a month now).
Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer
I got this little guy as a sample from Sephora for being a Beauty Insider (I love when they send you cards for free stuff to try). Since getting it I have only used it a few times, but as of now I am really considering buying a full-size when this runs out. It helped keep my concealer in place throughout the day and I noticed less creasing - total win.
MAC Blot Powder/Pressed
The lovely lady at MAC suggested this powder to me when I was there looking for a new concealer earlier in the month and she won. I love setting my t-zone with this powder! It gives my skin a great finish and like I said earlier, anything to help combat oil is greatly loved.
MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer
When I first got this once I tried applying it with a concealer brush like I did with my MAC Select Cover Up and that didn't work. So I headed back to the store to talk to them about it and possibly exchange it. After my conversation there I found out it is best to use your finger to really get it to set in and I tried that and she was right. However, I still don't like it for under my eyes, but for other blemishes it is perfect!
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
I cannot say enough good things about this concealer. It is the perfect texture/consistency and I get great wear out of it. My new favorite concealer by far.
Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
So far I have found that this gel is great for tight-lining my upper lashes. The brush perfectly packs the product between the lashes to help give my lashes look fuller. I am still playing around with it and haven't worn it as my normal liner yet, so we will see if I like it for other uses.
Sonja Kashuk Core Tools Spoolie Brush
I got this brush toward the end of the month, but so far I have liked it. I mean it is a spoolie brush, kind of hard to screw up right?
Sonja Kashuk Core Tools Precision Liner Brush
Again, I got this brush later and have only used it a couple of times. I also haven't washed it yet so I don't know about the quality and durability of the brush yet.
Nails:
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel & Gel Top Coat (c/o Influenster)
I received this little duo courtesy of Influenster in a VoxBox and will be reviewing it at the end of the week after wearing it for 7 days so stay tuned!Body:
Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer
Like the face version, I have only used this product a few times so far so I can't really review it yet. I am making it a goal to not tan at all in a tanning bed anymore and use sunscreen more religiously throughout the rest of the summer to protect my skin, so I am going to need a good self tanner. Suggestions of things to try are warmly welcomed, just leave me a comment below!Well that does it for my July Haul and beginning impressions. Make sure to follow those lovely ladies I mentioned on YouTube and check back here for more reviews and updates!
Have a lovely day everyone!
