[How far along]

27 weeks! Hooray 3rd trimester!

[Size of the baby]

Cauliflower/Rutabaga
About 14.4 inches, 2 pounds

[Weight Gain]

I am seeing numbers I have never seen before on a scale, and it doesn't bother me one bit! This trimester you are expected to gain about 10 to 12 pounds, so if I do I am looking at 153 by the end of it. This week though I have been fluctuating between a 18 and 20 pound weight-gain so far.

[Symptoms]

Um, I am pretty sure I had a couple of Braxton Hicks contractions and I am thirsty 99% of the time. Because I am trying to push so much water through my system I am increasing my bathroom breaks a lot too. My back pain has eased up (knock on wood it stays like that). I have been feeling a bit nausous lately if I move too fast, and got a little sick one afternoon. Paybacks for an easy first trimester right? Going back to being thirsty, I am noticing leg cramps a lot more. On the bright side, my skin is starting to look a bit more clear (again, knocking on wood here).

All of these things are so worth it though and this little guy keeps reminding me about that. Every time I feel him twist or kick I get so happy. I cannot wait until he joins us in 13 weeks (or less, or more)!

[Sleep]

I'm tired of talking about this one. My stomach is large, it is hard to get comfortable. You get it.

[Gender]

We are having a little boy! The reveal story is here

[Maternity Clothes]

Went and bought jeans this week. Honestly it was the most positive jeans buying experience I have ever had. Who would have thought. Thank you Motherhood Maternity for making me feel good in jeans while pregnant!

[Craving]

Um cookies. I have held strong though and not made any. So far this week I have contemplated making banana bread, cookies, and brownies. Instead I have eaten fruit and peanut butter.

[Feeling]

At peace. We have a lot of stuff coming up, but I feel good about it all. We are getting closer to having this little guy come into the world and Nate and I are so beyond excited.

[Random]

Nate and I have started talking holiday plans since we will not be able to go anywhere for Thanksgiving and potentially Christmas. It is a lot of planning. Mom and I are alsostarting to plan out newborn picture ideas and maternity picture plans, so that is fun. So much planning!
