Mermaid Moment

Morning lovelies! If you follow me on Instagram you have seen a sneak peak at this look today. If not, you should and you would be ahead of the game. But here were the sneak previews in case you missed it. 

Onward to the look! For both of these looks I used a headband from Emily Kai (see the Discover post here). Aren't they gorgeous headbands?

These are definitely investment headbands, but the quality is great and they look so unique. Plus you are supporting local and that is always a plus. The packaging is also gorgeous and that is always a win for me. Now I have this perfect little box to hold headbands when I travel or other jewelry. Score!

In a Hair Rut

Everyone gets to this point. The time when no matter how you do it, you never like how your hair is styled. You get bored with it and then the urge to do something drastic comes in to the picture. Well I am there. I don't want to change the color, I love it how it is. I am good with the cut too, I mean every now and then I think about chopping it off but I get rid of that idea real quick. 

That leaves me with changing how I style it day to day. Normally it is down and straight. Maybe my bangs are pinned back on day one hair. Day two hair is usually in a headband or half back. Day three bun or braid. I mean it is like clockwork. So I am on the search for different ways to style my hair. 

Here are some tutorials I have found and liked so far. (some are things I do currently, but with a slight twist)

A New Way to Curl

There are already so many different ways to curl your hair that are out in the world for you to see in tutorials. Use a clamp or don't, wrap twisted or wrap flat. So many options, Now I have another one for you. Lately I have been using the KISS InstaWave to get nice casual curls. 

What is this crazy new curling device I speak of? 

It is a fully automatic tangle-free curler that instantly creates beautiful curls. It is super easy for anyone to use, from any angle, with any hand, because of the Curl Dial with left/right curl directions. It is safe too, after 90 minutes it automatically shuts off. You also have options with the temperature, low and high (max temp is 420)
