Four the Love of Friday | March 4

So there are tons of different versions of Friday Favorites posts out there. I wanted to try something new here though and you just tell me what you think. Instead of five things, I am playing with words still with Four the Love of Friday. You get 4 things in 4 categories now. So many good things to make you smile on your Friday.

1) Four Thirsty Skin

Winter is killing me. All the up and down of temperatures associated with Mid West living are just not fun. Anyway, here are four products I am loving to try and combat it all.

DERMA E HYALURONIC ACID NIGHT CREME

Heavy moisture without the greasy feeling that follows. I love this night creme for nights when my skin just really needs a boost.

SMASHBOX 'PHOTO FINISH' PRIMER WATER

Normally I am drenching my face in this primer to keep oil at bay, but now I am bathing my face with the Smashbox Primer Water instead. It puts moisture back into my skin and helps prep my face for foundation. Not sure what the magic is behind it, but it works for me. No one wants cracked foundation face due to dry skin.

Friday Lovin' | November 6

This has been a pretty awesome week, and it has really flown by. Here are the things that have made it even better.

I think everyone was in shock and awe listening to this version of Drink You Away this week during the CMAs. Honestly, it was amazing and I have watched it/listened to it multiple times since it originally aired. 

2 | Products

[derma|e Hydrating Night Creme]

I received a jar of this lovely creme c/o BrandBacker and derma|e and I am beyond ecstatic about it. I have been using it for about 5 days now and my skin feels/looks so much better. The fall weather has really done a number on my skin and I credit this nourishing creme with all the positive change that I have seen. I will be doing a Fall Skincare post next week so be on the lookout for that to see what has been making my life lately.

[Lip Service by LUSH]

I have started really laying this on thick while I am doing my makeup. My lips have been super chapped lately and I have noticed a huge difference since I started using it.

3 | These words

As I was scrolling through Bloglovin' this week I came across this article and I just felt like I was meant to. So often I struggle with patience and I know with Leighton coming anytime in the next 6 weeks my patience will be tried over and over again while he grows up. 

4 | Original Songs

More specifically, this one. 

We were watching The Voice this week and Nate and I both perked up when we heard someone would be singing this one. Unfortunately, he didn't do it justice (in our humble opinion) so I immediately headed to Spotify and pulled up the real thing. It will forever be a favorite song of mine. 

5 | The Berry's Morning Coffee

Really though, I am still not okay with this.

And that is the list. Hopefully tonight I can add a new car to this list. Two weeks of not having one has led to a very homebody life for me.

Friday Lovin' | October 30

And just like that it is the end of October. Sheesh I though time flew by in college, but seriously it just keeps going faster. Anyway, here are all the things I am loving lately.

1 | Nursery Progress

I am going to do a full post once we get our last two things in for it, but it is really coming along! We have all the wall art (except the dream catcher) done and pretty much everything ordered that we need. Little man is going to have the coolest room in the house.

2 | Products

[Morphe 35O Palette]

Goodness I am just so in love with this palette. Honestly the colors are perfect and the formula is great. I am still trying to figure out the best eyelid primer to work with these but so far I have been loving each look I have done with it.

[Palmer's Cocoa Tummy Butter]

What on Earth would I do without this stuff. The space where my belly button ring used to be is starting to actually get kind of painful so I am loading it up with this stuff. 

[Murad Clarifying Cleanser]

Recently rediscovered this love of mine when I was going through my bin of back up items. It leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean, and it helps with the acne that is ever so slightly there still. I have a a.m. and p.m. skincare routine coming next month so be on the lookout!

[Beesential Beeswax Lip Balm ( Lemon & Lavender)]

I was given this by a friend and I love it. It is such a refreshing scent and the lip balm itself is a really great texture. My lips love it. 

3 | Vampire Diaries

Do I really need to explain myself? I am just as obsessed as I was in the beginning, the current season is bumming me out a bit but it won't stop me from watching. 

4 | Halloween

Dressing this bump will be a bit of a challenge this year, but I always love Halloween.

Friday Lovin' | October 9

Another week down and normally I would begin my Christmas countdown, but there is a whole other countdown ruling life now. Here are my favorite things from this week!

1 | Little Man's Nursery

The chair made it here on Wednesday so Nate and I are officially done until after showers happen. November is looking like it is going to be filled with waiting and crafts to pass the time. I can't wait to get actual decor type of things up on the walls and really make it feel like his little place. For now it is a really great start though!


2 | Baby Daddy

No, not my baby's daddy, but the show "Baby Daddy". Yeah sure it gets cheesy sometimes, but I can't help but love it. 

3 | The New Jergens Lotion

I remember seeing that their formula changed a bit and the scent was supposed to be better, but I didn't notice it on my last bottle. This time, I don't notice a scent at all throughout the day and the scent it has while applying is actually really nice. Thank goodness for the constant evolving of products. The color still looks good to me and I don't notice it rubbing off a lot on my clothes either.

Friday Lovin' | October 2

Loves for the week? How about pretty much the month since it has been so long? Yup that sounds good to me!

1 | My Husband

Let me be sappy for a bit. Nate has been amazing so far through this pregnancy. I have given him such a honey-do list and he has done it all with a smile. Among those things were building different furniture items and making wall decor. He is so crafty and just figures it out. This Wednesday was his birthday and after dinner he came home and figured out how to rig up a curtain rod from a branch. He may not understand exactly what is going through my head when I get an idea, but he certainly knows how to make it happen! 

2 | It's Fall

Seriously, I am just in a better mood from the moment I wake up knowing it is fall. The windows are open, my house smells like heaven and tomorrow I am making apple crisp and chili. What more could a girl ask for?

3 | These Products

[Make Up For Ever Ultra HD]

So I have mentioned this foundation before, but I have recently been using it with my Beauty Blender for a more sheer coverage and I love it too. Really it is the only foundation I have been using whether I want medium-ish or sheer coverage. (For a heavier coverage I use my morphe 439, which is on sale by the way!)

[Mario Badescu Drying Lotion]

Since my face has been cooperating slightly lately, I have taken a step back from the heavier cream treatments and focus on spot treatment for the occasional big guy that pops up. I had a jar of this sitting on the counter and fell back in love with it. It really does show me improvement overnight and that is a win.

[pores no more]

I picked up a tube of this with my points at Sephora and goodness am I thankful I did. Honestly I like it more than Benefit PoreFessional, but I couldn't tell you why specifically. I don't notice my face getting as slippery with it and it does a really good job at hiding my pores. Plus the sample bottle itself is bigger than PoreFessional so there is a major plus right there.

Come back next week for a full review on this guy, but here is a short and sweet version. I love it! I rotate this in (every other day) when I am not using my Clarisonic and I have seen really, really good results.

4 | Whiskey on My Breath

Well not my breath, the song by Love and Theft. Let's all reminisce about the time we met them, they sang to me, and then the one hung out with us at my bachelorette party before he went on stage. Oh the memories. 

Anyway, this song (and really the whole album) has been on repeat this week.

Friday Lovin' | August 21

And with that, we have survived another work week and made it to Friday! Here are the things I have been loving lately.

1 | Obsessed with this perfume

It has that Sandalwood smell in it that I love so much, but also has violet and vanilla to bring it back to the feminine side. I love it so much, the perfect balance between masculine and feminine.

2 | Crest® 3D White™ Brilliance Daily Cleansing & Whitening System

Nate and I started using this system on Sunday this week to try and get our teeth in tip top, pearly white shape.



Other than the taste of it (like the dentist office) it hasn't been that bad really. I haven't looked at my teeth now compared to when we started yet, but will be soon. Hopefully we see results right away!

3 | Both of these pictures

This summer was filled with weddings and for two of them the Makeup Artist was little ol' me. I loved making my friends look flawless for their wedding day and these two pictures are a perfect reminder.

Mmmm, I love everything. Her etsy site is pure gorgeousness. I only wish I could write as pretty as she does. 

The Light Blonde

I came across this shop because of a Facebook friend, and seriously I am  obsessed. These shirts are so simple and have a great message. I am loving this baseball tee and wishing this tank was not sold out.

Jean & June

If nothing else, I love this store for this shirt alone. I saw it and immediately thought of our little man. His room is Neverland/Peter Pan/Lost Boys inspired and this is exactly that.
